With
the increased popularity of flocked decoys (duck and
goose), many waterfowlers would like a simple way
to "do-it-yourself" — economically.
Both
Suede-Tex rayon and nylon flocking fibers have been used for
decoy flocking, and it has been determined that the
nylon flock fiber is better. Suede-Tex nylon flocking fibers
are
a more durable fiber, therefore, they stand up to
handling better and are more weather resistant.
DonJer
Products' Suede-Tex nylon flock fiber and color-matched
undercoat adhesive is clearly the answer to successful
decoy flocking…

Flocked Decoy
Application:
To
prepare your decoy, using a wire brush, rough up the
surface so that it holds the adhesive better.
Brush
on a generous coating of adhesive and immediately
apply the flocking fibers using DonJer's mini flocker applicator
which will give you a smooth, even finish. Once it
dries remove the excess flocking fibers and reclaim them for
future use.
Complete instructions for the application
of the finish are included in each mini flocker.
